Nestled off of the highly traveled roads, in the TN Valley, are three old order Mennonites communities – Tellico, Delano, and Englewood. These groups of Plain people live a very rustic life, without even many of the conveniences that many of the Amish have. But they grow some of the best produce we have found anywhere in the area, and we love being able to buy from them.
Their variety of vegetables is very large, including squash, garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, greens, watermelons, and so much more. A lot of their produce is grown without any chemical sprays or fertilizers.
We have been buying from them since 2019, and it’s an ever changing, dynamic experience working with them. We hope to keep building our relationship with them to bring more of their crops to you and provide them with a good outlet for their delicious, fresh produce.
